Fun at the YMCA

We LOVE going to the "Y"! The kids have such a blast! And since we usually arrange to go at the same time as some really good friends of ours, I get to enjoy visiting with my friend Amy. We try to go a couple of times a week, but of course it doesn't always happen. I love that my kids inherited my water loving gene! Hannah swims pretty well, and Benjamin is catching up quickly with lots of practice. Lilly is going to start her first real swim lessons in a couple of weeks and I know she will love it. So...here are some pictures of the kids (definitely none of me in a swim suit, although I'm doing pretty good at my work out effort lately). The last few are in the play room they have there, which is especially great in the winter! Some of the pictures are a little blurry, it figures that the day I finally remember to take my camera with us that I had it on the wrong setting and didn't even know it. Oh well!
Apparently, Hannah thought the water was cold this day!

Lilly loves to pretend she's swimming!

Benjamin loves the "basketball pool", although technically he's not old enough to be in there without me. He's supposed to be 6, but I need to be in the rec pool with Lilly and Nathan who cannot begin to touch in the other pool. So, it just depends which lifeguards are on duty.

Okay, so I thought that Lilly had no fear of the water from a very early age, but apparently Nathan had to show her up. He wants to do everything on his own. He has refused to hold my hand for quite some time now and even tries to run in the water. Since the water is up to his chest in many areas, this frequently knocks him off balance and he ends up floating on his belly. But he doesn't miss a beat and pushes himself right back up to his feet! He gets so excited whenever we just pull into the parking lot. The Y is definitely one of his favorite places to be!

Some of our friends playing. Samuel is on the slide beside Lilly, he's Nathan's best little friend. They are only 4 months apart in age, so Amy and I plan on them being best friends forever! His big brother Maxwell is at the bottom of the slide. Isaac is his other brother that is usually there with them, he's just not in the picture.

King of the slide mountain!

They have so much fun climbng and jumping and rolling, etc., etc., etc.

Hannah climbed on the rope so much this day that her hands were sore for a couple of days! There is also a "rock" climbing wall in the back that they enjoy.

They like making a snake with these to crawl on.
